A single bike can be used to trasport up to 5 gallons of water, but it is not any kind of bike that can be used for that purpose, these ones are made with front and rear supports, and have a parking system near the front tire. This bicycles are left outside the store while the process of unload/upload the goods is happening. Strings are used to attach the gallons on the front and rear support. They also have a cloth coiled and embedded on the rear support.
The whole system seens to be really functional, but not well resolved. The cloth that the employer carries is used to clean the gallons, but is not in a very hygienic spot. Also the strings that holds the goods are not the best option they have to deal with other amounts of products. On the other hand, the support that leaves the bike on the upright position is really safe and strong.
It looks unorganized, the bikes stays on the sidewalk, in the front of the bussiness, without a special place for it. The support that holds up the bicycle is really nice, the delivery guy do not need to use his hands to open or close the device. They probably need it to be really fast and safe, because if it does not work this way the goods may fall. The way that the gallons are organized on the bike shows that it is more stable to put more weight on the front side of the bike. I think the way that the gallons are attached to the bike is not the best solution. They could use the same structure that the bike uses, metal, to be safer and more stable.
Using the bicycle as the transport tool is convenient to go everywhere. The whole construction looks applicable and economic, which reduce the cost of transport. But the design is short of security consideration. If the rider meets some complicated traffic situation, it is not easy to keep the balance. And maybe the height of the bucket in the front of the bike will obstruct the view of people. It is a very useful traffic tool, but there are always things that can be improved through design.
How the process of loading the bike on the sidewalk and using it was a bike lane can be bad for the mobility of the pedestrian? Should exist a code of behavior for this situations?
How people interact with this system and with the person who is delivering? Does it interfere in a good or a bad way?
Would a motorised version be suprerior to this bicycle? Would it than be more dangarous and/or less flexible?
What advantages does this method of transportation have agains a simple trailer to load goods?
Are there special parking spaces for these types of bicycles? Where do the people park these bikes and for how long?
How does the user load and unload the goods take and how long dies it take? Is the bicycle stable in these processes?
Are there any savety possibilities for using it in the night time?
