1 Interpretation

In this case, the cashiers that use the same workspace, changing shifts, use the same box under their feet. This wood box protects the feet from water. When its raining water stocks, creating puddles in the floor. With the box their feet and personal things don’t get wet.
It’s interesting how all the cashiers use and maintain the same box in the workspace. They all know that is a needed and those they may use that again. The act of using the box is cultural and almost all the tubes have a box.

Would be interesting for those cashiers that don’t like and don’t feel comfortable with the box, have a different kind of solution?

It would be necessary to change the workspace, giving the cashier differently environment from the rest of the tube? How this could be done?
